Grace E. Schwartz

Grace Elizabeth (Brown) Schwartz, 86, of Temple, died June 16, 2009 in Reading Hospital.

She was the widow of William Calvin Schwartz, who died August 18, 2005.

Born in Hyde Park, she was a daughter of the late Charles Irvin and Gertrude Isabelle (Rissmiller) Brown.

Grace was employed as a fore lady by various hosieries, last working at Leininger Hosiery, Mohnton, where she retired from in 1979.

She was a member of Rosedale United Church of Christ, Laureldale.

Surviving is a daughter, Margaret L. (Schwartz), wife of Curtis W. Hoyt of Muhlenberg Township.

In addition, there is a sister, Arlene (Brown), wife of Clifford Bechtel of Laureldale.

She is also survived by two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, one great grandchild and six step-great grandchildren.

Grace was predeceased by a brother Raymond A. Snyder, husband of Pearl Snyder of Macungie.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Rosedale United Church of Christ, 1301 E. Bellevue Ave., Laureldale, PA 19605, with Rev. Richard A. Leiby officiating. Viewings will be held Sunday evening from 6:30-8 p.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale and Monday morning from 10-11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
