Grace Theresa (Hulme) DeMuzio, 80 died on December 19, 2007 in her Riverview Park home in Muhlenberg Township.
She was married to Donald David DeMuzio, who died on September 5, 2007.
Born on April 27, 1927 in Medford, MA she was a daughter to the late William and Grace Theresa (O'Brien) Hulme.
Grace graduated from Medford High School, Medford, MA in 1945. She became an Registered Nurse after graduating from St. Elizabeth's Hospital School of Nursing where she graduated from in 1949.
She first worked as a nurse at the Malden Hospital in the pediatrics unit from 1948-1957. After raising her children, she returned to work as a registered nurse at Berks Heim and then a dental assistant for Dr. William Wesner before retiring at 65.
She was a member of Holy Guardian Angel's Roman Catholic Church, Muhlenberg Township.
Grace enjoyed skiing, gardening, sewing, billiards, crafts and spending time with her six grandchildren.
She was a member of the Muhlenberg Women's Club and the Geishas and Butterflies Red Hat Societies both in Venice, FL and a former member of Flying Dutchman Ski Club.
Surviving is a son, David G., husband of Clarissa (Barnes) deMuzio, Bala Cynwyd, PA; and two daughters, Anne M. (DeMuzio), wife of David M. Smith, Myerstown; and Elizabeth D. (DeMuzio), wife of Patrick J. Slater, Muhlenberg Township.
She is also survived by one sister, Evelyn (Hulme) Mahoney of Plum Island, Newbury, MA.
There are six grandchildren: Brian D. and Justin T. Smith, Emmett T. and Francesca G. deMuzio, and Sean P. and Caroline G. Slater.
Grace was predeceased by two brothers, William and Walter Hulme and a sister Margaret (Hulme) Decina.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 10:30 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Reading, PA 19605. A visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the church. Inurnment will take place in Gethsemane Cemetery following services.
