Grace T. Bower

Grace T. Bower, 81 of Perry Township died July 7 th , 2018 in her residence. She was the wife of Donald R. Bower. They were married for 61 years. Grace was born in Maidencreek Township and was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Pinta) Sayer. Grace was a 1954 graduate of Kutztown High School and spent her life as a homemaker raising her 3 children. She was an active member of St. Mary Roman Catholic Church, Tilden Township where she ran bingo and was a Harvest Fest helper for many years. In addition to her husband, Grace is survived by a daughter, Theresa A. wife of Mark Swavely, Maidencreek Township, a son Brian L. Bower, Perry Township, three granddaughters, Lindsey B. Swavely and Erica N. and Jessica L. Bower, a brother Stephen Sayer, North Carolina and a sister, Mary "Marie" Bitting, Kenhorst. Nine siblings and a son, Eric A. Bower on June 29, 1991, predeceased Grace. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church, 94 Walnut Road, Hamburg, PA. with a viewing from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Laureldale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the memorial fund of St. Mary at the above address.
