Gordon R. Yeich

Gordon Reynold Yeich, 86, of Richmond Township, died April 9, 2012 in the St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was the husband of Sallie Annie (Himmelreich) Yeich, whom he married June 23, 1945.

Born in his Reading residence on November 28, 1925, he was a son of the late Howard Mayberry Yeich and Susan Lillian (Madara) Yeich.

He was employed as a welder for 33 years with Dana Corporation, Reading, before retiring in 1980.

Gordon was a Navy Veteran of WWII.

He is also survived by two children: Kathleen J., wife of Michael C. Swartz of Muhlenberg Township and Steven A., widower of Tracy (Burnham) Yeich of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Other survivors include a sister, Shirley Good of Spring Township; four grandchildren: Diane Anderson, Chad Addison, Jared Dobroski and Courtney Yeich and four great grandchildren: Stephanie Holt, Zachery Holt, Madeline Addison and Ethan Addison.

Gordon was predeceased by a son, Thomas Gordon Yeich, who died August 3, 2008 and a brother, Clifford Yeich.

Services will be Friday at 1:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held Friday from noon until time of services. Burial will Military Honors will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
