Gloria A. Stebbins

Gloria A. Stebbins, 83, of Laureldale, died December 25, 2010 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Her husband, William E. Stebbins, Sr., died February 2, 1999.

Born in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Irene (Willard) Zimmerman.

She was a 1945 graduate of Williamsport High School.

Gloria was an avid bowler. She belonged to several senior groups and enjoyed traveling with them. She was a loving and devoted mother. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally. She also enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her four children: William E., Jr., husband of Beverly M. Stebbins, Baltimore, MD; Barry W., husband of Jerilyn S. Stebbins, Temple; Robert F., husband of Robin Stebbins, Orlando, FL and Cathy L., wife of Roger P. Mallon, Laureldale. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Gloria was predeceased by her brother, Lester Zimmerman.

Services will be Thursday at 9 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Williamsport. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the ALS Association, 321 Norristown Rd., Suite 260, Ambler, PA 19002.
