Gloria B. Meridionale

Gloria B. Meridionale (Nicolo), 92, passed away on June 4, 2023, at home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late Anthony Meridionale. They married in September 1953 and shared 62 wonderful years together and raised two children before his passing in 2015.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Stefano and Rose (Ciufici) Nicolo. Gloria graduated from Reading High School in 1947 and the Reading Business Institute in 1950. She was employed as a medical secretary for nearly 30 years before working as the Accounts Payable Coordinator at the Masonic Homes for 14 years.

Gloria belonged to St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church and volunteered weekly in the school kitchen where she was beloved by students and colleagues alike. Faith and family were central to her life. She enjoyed most the time spent with her grandchildren and cooking authentic Italian meals for her family and friends. As a caring and loving mother and grandmother, she was the heart of the family.

Treasuring her memory are her children, Kathleen Meridionale and Kevin Meridionale, daughter in-law Karen Meridionale, grandchildren Anthony and Gabriella, brother Steve Nicolo of Clearwater, FL, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends who cherished her.

The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m on Monday, June 12, 2023 at St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2600 St. Albans Dr, Reading, PA 19609 with interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003. The viewing will be held from 10 a.m to the time of service. A gathering for family and friends will be held at Snitz Creek Restaurant, 1805 Fisher Ave, Annville, PA 17003

In lieu of flowers, donations in Gloria's memory may be made to St. Ignatius Loyola School.
