Gloria June Hetrick

Gloria J. (Hafer) Hetrick, 83, passed away November 9, 2014 in St. Joseph's Medical Center.

She was the widow of John S. Hetrick who passed away in 1992.

Born in Oley on October 30, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Paul S. and Mary B. (Prutzman) Hafer.

Gloria was a graduate of Boyertown Area High School.

She was employed for several years as a shipping clerk working at Licht Trachtenhaus and David Crystal, where she retired in 1995.

Gloria is survived by her three children: Todd A. Hetrick, husband of Heidi of Exeter; Terry L. Hetrick of Boyertown and Lisa M. Hetrick, companion of Joseph Aguiar of Oley. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her longtime companion, Earl Ziegler, who passed away in June 2014.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to travel, especially to Hawaii, enjoyed canning and cooking, and adored her cats.

She was a Campfire leader for many years, was an active member of her church, involved in the Woman's Guild and the choir. She was also a lioness for the Limerick Lions Club.

Services will be held Thursday, November 13 at 11:00 am in the Kuhn-Stitzel Funeral Homes & Crematory, 423 Main Street, Oley. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Oley Cemetery, Spangsville.
