Gloria A. Cross

Gloria A. Cross, 94, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2024, at Country Meadows. She was the widow of Glen Cross who passed away in 2012.

Born in Netcong, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Gallo and Philomena Gallo. Gloria graduated from Netcong High School and earned a Tax Assessor Certificate from Rutger's University. She was employed as a municipal tax assessor at Denville, Mt. Olive, and Boonton Townships. She also worked as a Professor of Tax Assessment for Rutgers University.

Gloria enjoyed many years of retirement in Florida with her husband playing cards and cooking for their many friends. The front door was always open for friends and relatives to come visit and stay awhile.

She is survived by her children, Michelle "Muffi" Delaney (Mark) of Tucson, AZ and Alfred Cross (Margaret) of Leesport, and six grandchildren: Glen, Jennifer, Cassie, Adam, Alfred, and Colin. Gloria also loved her nine great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her son, Glen J Cross, and her four siblings: Joseph, Gemma, Vincent, and John.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project
