Gloria B. Borrell

Gloria Bernice (Skimski) Borrell, 77, beloved mother and grandmother, died November 15, 2008 in her Spring Township residence.

She was married August 12, 1950 to the late Elwood "Dove" Frederick Borrell, who died August 7, 2001.

Born in Reading, PA on August 23, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Stanley J. and Dorothy Marie (Sell) Skimski.

She was a 1949 graduate of Reading High School.

Gloria was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, West Reading.

She was employed 9 years as a secretary with Supplex Service, Reading and later with Monick Court Reporters, Reading, as a typist and bookkeeper for 41 years, retiring in August, 2008.

Gloria is survived by a daughter, Kim B. (Borrell) James of Spring Township and a granddaughter; Heather M. (James) wife of Michael L. Miller of South Heidelberg Township.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading. A viewing will be held Wednesday, 8:30 - 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
