Glenn D. Roth

Glenn D. Roth, 87, of Leesport, passed away September 2, 2013.

His wife, Mildred M. (Spatz) Roth, died in 2000.

Born May 13, 1926 in Wyomissing, he was the son of the late Daniel R. and Edna (Sensenig) Roth.

Glenn worked as a driver for G. Frank Arters Trucking, Birdsboro, for 33 years, retiring in 1988.

He was a member of Epler's U.C.C. Church, Bern Township.

Glenn was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII where he earned the Purple Heart Medal.

He is survived by his daughter, Gail L. Besler, Turkey and his sister, Joan Lenhart, Leesport. Also surviving are his two cousins: Margie Landis, Mohnton and Chestena Miller, Leesport.

Glenn was predeceased by his son, Kent L. Roth, in 1998 as well as his sister, Joyce Jones and his brother, Kent Roth.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Epler's Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
