Glenn L. Curtis

Glenn L. Curtis of Bernville, PA, passed away on March 21, 2022 at the age of 82. Born in Philadelphia on September 28, 1939, he was the son of Irene Elizabeth (Glaser) and John George Curtis. In high school, Glenn played on the varsity football team. He graduated from Upper Dublin High School, Fort Washington, PA in 1957. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1958, serving as an aviation electronics technician on the U.S.S. Wasp. After Glenn completed his service, he began his 60-year career as a machinist. He was also a dairy and crop farmer for many years. Glenn enjoyed hunting trips and sports cars, and many cruise vacations and doo-wop concerts with his wife, Linda. He was a prolific reader and absorbed a vast knowledge of ancient cultures. He had an uncanny ability to find a solution to any problem, was a great listener, and offered advice to many. He is remembered for his patience, positive outlook, and ever-present smile. Glenn was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda (Semet) Curtis; his daughters, Patricia Curtis and Susan (Curtis) Carvin, wife of James; granddaughter, Shannon Carvin; sister-in-law, Karen Curtis; brother-in-law, Robert Semet; and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, John T. Curtis; sister, Nancy C. Thiers; and niece, Adrienne Thiers.

A visitation with family and friends will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022, from 10 to 11 AM at Salem-Berne United Methodist Church, 292 Salem Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526, with services to follow visitation. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., Wyomissing is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Glenn's memory to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network at pancan.org/donate, or through the mail at 1500 Rosecrans Ave., Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266.
