Glenn C. Bailey

Glenn C. Bailey, 77, of Reading, passed away on September 29, 2024 in the comfort of his home. Born in Reading, he was the son of John H. and Edna E. (Kissling) Bailey. Glenn was the loving husband of Helen L. (Bordner) Bailey, until her passing in 2003.

Glenn was a forklift operator for the Bachman Company in Laureldale, until his retirement..

Glenn was a stubborn Irishman who enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Oakies Club of Reading and the 18th Ward. He was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

He is survived by his daughters, Lori (Bailey) Gunlock, of Fleetwood, and Terri (Bailey) Godinet, of Temple; three step-children: Vicky Oswalt, of Rouses Point. NY, Russell Oswalt, Sr., of Mohrsville, and Scott Oswalt, of Reading; four grandchildren: Matthew Pinder, Martin Fasig, Jr., Troy Godinet, Leala Smith; eight great-grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. He will be missed by many nieces and cousins.

In addition to his spouse and parents, Glenn was predeceased by his brother, Leon Bailey and step-son, William Oswalt, Sr.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024 at 12PM at Kuhn Funeral Home, 40 S. 4th Street, Hamburg. Friends and family will be received from 11-12PM. Burial will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, Hamburg.
