Gladys M. Reese

Gladys M. (Griffith) Reese, 84, formerly of 2209 Raymond Ave., Northmont, died February 22nd at 8:25 am in Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, where she had been for five years.

She was the widow of Ward W. Reese, Sr., who died December 23, 1996.

Born in Louisa, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Oscar and Myrtle Griffith.

She was a member of Alsace Lutheran Church, Hyde Park.

Gladys is survived by a daughter, Carolyn M. (Reese) wife of Ernie Mathis of Gig Harbor, Washington.

Other survivors include a son, Ward W. Jr., husband of MaryLou Reese of Ocean View, New Jersey.

There are two grandchildren, Ben Reese of Hollywood, California and Lydia Reese of Haddonfield, New Jersey.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in Alsace Lutheran Church, 2201 Kutztown Rd., Hyde Park. Rev. Mark Brophy officiating. Viewing 10am until time of service in the church. Burial will be in Alsace Cemetery, Hyde Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Masonic Home, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, Pa 17022. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
