Gladys P. Lentz

Gladys P. Lentz, 94, formerly of Wyomissing, passed away April 5, 2012 at Sterling House, Fort Collins, CO, a health care facility, where she was a resident for the past several months. Prior to that she lived in Fort Collins for the past two years with her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Jon Vastine.

Gladys was born March 12, 1918 in Denver, PA, a daughter of the late Alma and John Rutt. After 66 years of marriage, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry G. Lentz, in September of 2003. She was also predeceased by a sister, Kathryn Ruppp and a brother, Robert Rutt.

A loving mother, who is survived by two sons, James H. Lentz, husband of Gail M. Ebersol-Lentz of Hessian Pines, Edward A. Lentz, husband of Patricia C. Lentz of Wyomissing, two daughters, Barbara A. Vastine, wife of Jon R. Vastine of Fort Colins, CO and Jacqueline L. Farrrer, wife of Howard C.M. Farrer of Old Saybrook, CT. A loving grandmother to eight grandchildren, Lori A. Fowler of Pitman, NJ, Tracy L. Reppert,of Muhlenberg Township, Cynthia V. Hogan, Fort Collins, CO, Melissa V. Rogers of Denver, CO, Edward T. Lentz of Wyomissing, Kristen L Hagn of Wyomissing, Robert S. Farrer of Manhasset, NY and Gregory A. Farrer of Oakton, VA. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren.

She was entirely devoted to her family and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with them, always interested in all aspects of their lives and kept abreast of all their activities. Gladys always looked forward to family holidays, special occasions, visits and vacations. She will be sadly missed by her family, but her special smile, sense of humor and so many wonderful memories wil always be remembered.
