Giuseppe Iacono, 87, of Wyomissing, passed away February 14, 2014 in The Reading Hospital and Medical Center.
He was the husband of Joann (Warner) Iacono, whom he married October 8, 1975.
Born February 26, 1926 in Locomenna,Ischia,Italy he was a son of the late Aniello and Marianna (Silvio) Iacono.
Giuseppe owned a private tour and travel agency in Rome, Italy, for over 30 years.
He served in the Italian Army as the Attache to the General.
Giuseppe was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, Whitfield.
He was also a member of Sons of Italy, Johnstown, PA and Knights of Columbus in Italy.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his two daughters: Marina, wife of Massimo Bertone, Rome, Italy; and Paolo, wife of Roberto Regini, Rome, Italy. Also surviving are his three grandchildren: Marta Regini, Sara Bertone, and Licia Bertone; and his special friends: James McCary, Patti Lantzy and Ron Lantzy.
Giuseppe was predeceased by his siblings: Leonardo Iacono, Michele Iacono, Angelo Iacono, Teresa Iacono, Angelina Iacono, and Lucia Iacono.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11 a.m. in St.Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring. Viewings will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m., both in Edward J.Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave, West Reading. Entombment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery.
