Ginger A. Geissler, 48, of Wyomissing, passed away in Reading Hospital on Friday, April 22, 2011 with family by her side.

She was the wife of Jonathan W. Geissler, whom she married May 8, 1993.

Born September 18, 1962 in Harrisburg, she was a daughter of Bonnie L. (Forney) Horvath of Harrisburg and the late Frank K. Thompson.

Ginger was a 1980 graduate of John Harris High School.

She was employed in the pharmacy department at Wal-Mart, Wyomissing.

Ginger was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

Ginger was devoted to her family and had a wide circle of friends. Her favorite activity was watching her son participate in band. Her other interests included bowling, golf, country line dancing and karaoke.

Also surviving is a son, Christopher T. Geissler, at home.

In addition, there are four siblings surviving: Thomas L. Thompson of Harrisburg, Mindy J. (Thompson), wife of John Baer of Etters, York County; Laurie J. (Thompson), wife of Doug Harlan of Hummelstown, Dauphin County and Angela J. Thompson of Annville, Lebanon County and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. A visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Thursday morning from 10:30 until the time of service in the funeral home. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
