Gilbert T. Mancuso, 91, of Harvard Boulevard, Lincoln Park, died April 19 at 2:30 p.m. in the Skilled Nursing Center of the Highlands at Wyomissing, where he had been a patient since Jan. 24.
His wife, Fannie F. (Farina) Mancuso, died Sept. 25, 1997.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Giacomo and Francesca (Lia) Mancuso.
Mancuso was employed for 33 years in the shipping department of Carpenter Technology Corp., retiring in 1972.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading, where he coached grade school baseball for several years.
Mancuso was a 1930 graduate of Reading High School.
He was a life member of both the Berks County Regional Holy Name Society and the Knights of Columbus Council 793, Reading, where he was a third-degree knight.
Mancuso was a former longtime sergeant-at-arms of the Shillington Rotary Club.
He is survived by a son, Jack G., Reading, and a daughter, Lucille F. (Mancuso) Kostival, Shillington.
There are also eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Holy Rosary Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
