Gilbert T. Mancuso

Gilbert T. Mancuso, 91 of 201 Harvard Blvd. Lincoln Park died April 19, 2003 at 2:30 PM in The Highlands Skilled Nursing Unit where he had been since January 24, 2003.

His wife Fannie F. (Farina) Mancuso died September 25, 1997.

Born is Reading he was the son of the late Giacomo and Francesca (Lia) Mancuso.

He was employed by Carpenter Steel in the shipping department for 33 years retiring in 1972.

He was a graduate of Reading High School in 1930.

He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, Reading where he was the grade school baseball coach for a number of years.

He was a lifetime member of the Berks County Regional Holy Name Society.

He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus Council Number 793, Reading, where he was also a 3rd degree knight.

He was sergeant of Arms for the Shillington Rotary Club, where he was a longtime member.

Survivors include one son Jack G., Reading and one daughter Lucille F. (Mancuso) Kostival, Shillington. There are also 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 AM in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church. Burial in Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc. West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
