Gertrud Fundinger

Gertrud Fundinger, 96, formerly of Ruscombmanor Township, died January 23, 2010 in Country Meadows, Spring Township.

She was the widow of Paul Friedrich Fundinger.

Born May 21, 1913 in Germany, she was a daughter of the late Gottlob and Pauline Palmer.

Gertrud was a pediatric nursing assistant for several years.

She was a devoted mother dedicated to her family.

Gertrud was an ardent gardener and lover of nature.

She was a member of Women's Auxiliary Masonic Lodge and Kissinger's Lutheran Church.

Surviving are two sons, Peter G., husband of Nancy Fundinger of Chesterfield, VA and Wolfgang G. Fundinger of Brooklyn, NY.

In addition, there is a grandson, Andrew P. Fundinger and two nieces, Ilse Ochner and Sigrid Hofelich, both of Germany.

Gertrud was predeceased by a brother Ernst Palmer.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. There will be no viewing. Burial will be in Fleetwood Cemetery, Fleetwood.
