Gerda F. Rose

Gerda Frida (Boehler) Rose, 93, Wyomissing, passed away December 31, 2008, in Berks Heim, Bern Township, where she had resided since December 2007.

She was the widow of Herman Rose, who died in 1979.

Born in Berlin, Germany on October 19, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Karl and Frida (Spitzer) Boehler.

She attended Wilson High School and was employed for many years by Berkshire Knitting Mills, retiring in 1977.

Gerda was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

She is survived by a son Kenneth H. Rose of Wyomissing; and a daughter Nancy M. Rose of Shillington.

Other survivors include two grandchildren, Jeffrey K. of Sun City Center, FL; and Keith A. of Perkasie, PA.
