Gerd Fritz Theodore Lubben, 80, died April 29, 2008 in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Renate C.J. (Habighorst) Lubben whom he married in 1951.

Born May 12, 1927, in Bremen, Germany, he was a son of the late Theodore and Wilhelmine (Klusman) Lubben.

Gerd was employed as a dental technician for Dr. Pfauder in Germany. Upon moving to the United States, he was employed as a tool and die maker for the former Textile Machine Works, now Arrow International for over twenty years.

Gerd served in the German Army during World War II.

Gerd enjoyed sailing, swimming, gardening and fishing.

Also surviving is a daughter Ingrid J. W. (Lubben), wife of Joseph G. Fox, Jr. of NJ.

In addition there are three grandchildren: Tim, Eric and Christopher Breen and two great-grandchildren: Adam and Zachary Breen.

He was predeceased by one son, Gerd Peter Lubben in 1996; a brother, Dieter Lubben and two sisters, Margot Wiedau and Ursel Zacharias.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 25 Steven's Ave., Suite 7, West Lawn, PA 19609. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale was in charge of arrangements.
