Gerard Joseph Bosch, 84, of Spring Township and formerly of Hyde Park, died of natural causes December 25, 2006 at 10:35 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

He was the widow of Agnes M. (Hermerka) Bosch, who died March 12, 1983.

Born March 12, 1922 in Brady, Schuylkill County, he was a son of the late Leo F. and Mary C. (Mattes) Bosch.

He was a graduate of St. Edwards High School, Shamokin.

Gerard was employed 27 years with Western Electric, Muhlenberg Township, last working in the Glass Shop as a Tube Maker before retiring in 1985.

He was an Air Force Veteran of WWII.

Gerard was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield, where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Gerard is survived by a son, Richard G.J. husband of Monika G. (Kiefer) Bosch of Spring Township.

Other survivors include a sister, Mary (Bosch) widow of Michael Sosnoski of Harrisburg.

There is also a grandson, Gerard R. husband of Nancy (Mulhall) Bosch of Wilson, Wyoming and a step-grandson, Brenten E. husband of Jennifer (Wagner) Lavelle of Pine Grove, Schuylkill County.

He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph Bosch.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am in St. Ignatius R.C. Church, Whitfield. Viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the UPHS Otorhinolaryngology Dept., 3400 Spruce St., #5 Ravdin Build., Philadelphia, PA 19104. Walter R.
