Geraldine S. Cook

Known as a loving wife and mother, Geraldine (Gerry) Smith Cook, 85, of Wyomissing, PA passed away after her battle with cancer on Sunday, July 22, 2012.

Gerry is survived by her wonderful and loving husband, Irving Paul Cook, of Wyomissing, PA. They were happily married for 61 years and are the proud parents of five children, ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Her children are Maryellen (Jim) Remich, Catherine (Dale) Dietrich, Joanne (Jeff) Wagoner, Loretta (Frank) Roscitt, and Paul S. Cook. Her grandchildren are Stephen and Jeffrey Remich; Amy (Dietrich) Killeen and David Dietrich; Daniel, Matthew, Benjamin, and Peter Wagoner; Michael and Brian Roscitt. Her great grandchildren are Brady and Hayley Killeen, Ava Wagoner, and Ryan Wagoner with two more great grandchildren on the way.

Gerry was born on May 13, 1927 in Wethersfield, CT as the daughter of the late George and Mary Ellen Smith. She attended St. Joseph's College in West Hartford CT. Soon after she married Irv, they relocated to Pennsylvania. She was a Registered Dietitian for Abington (PA) Hospital and Reading (PA) Hospital.

Family and friends may attend the viewing on Wednesday, July 25 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 Saint Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading, PA provided the arrangements.
