Geraldine P. Broskey

Geraldine P. Broskey, 89, formerly of West Wyomissing, passed away on May 5, 2024, at Country Meadows. She was the beloved wife of the late Donald L. Broskey, who passed away in June 2017. They were married on September 17, 1955, and shared 61 wonderful years together!

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Sophie (Dragan) Printz. Geraldine graduated from Reading Central Catholic High School and began her working career as a secretary. After their marriage they started a family and Gerry was a stay-at-home mom, raising 3 children. When their youngest child began school, she went back into the workforce as a secretary with Provident Mutual Life Insurance Company where she worked until her retirement. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed the competition as well as the many friendships. The casino bus trips were a favorite get away for her and Donald. But her happiest times were spent with her family who will miss her greatly.

Those left to treasure her memory are her three children: Cynthia A. Koch (Darryl), Donald F. Broskey, and Robert L. Broskey (Emily). Her grandchildren: Amy, Stephanie, Michele, Dara, Jessica, Chad, Victor, Bridget, and Juliet, and also her great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her brother, Leonard Printz.

She was a lifelong member of St. Cyril and Methodius Roman Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 14, at 10 a.m. at 449 S. 6th Street. Reading, PA 19602 with interment at Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, West Reading.
