Geraldine Boyer

Geraldine "Gerry" Boyer, 99, of Reading, died August 29, 2008 in Reading Hospital.

Her husband, Paul N. Boyer, died May 4, 1968.

Born in Galway, Ireland, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Ellen (Corbett) Fogarty.

She was employed by Pennmaid Hosiery, Reading as a folder retiring in 1973.

Mrs. Boyer was a member of St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, Reading, where she also worked and volunteered for many years.

Survivors include her brother, Frank Fogarty, Gloversville, NY and her sister, Christine McNevin, Galway, Ireland. Numerous nieces and nephews; great nieces and nephews; and great-great nieces and nephews also survive her.

Family and friends are invited to Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading Wednesday at 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Church 322 South 5th Street, Reading, PA 19602. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Reading. Friends may call Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home.
