Gerald D. Reinert

Gerald D. Reinert, Jr., 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in his Green Hills home, with his loving wife Debbie (Eddinger) Reinert by his side. Born April 4, 1947 in Pottstown, Gerald was a son of the late Dolores (Reitnauer) and Gerald D. Reinert, Sr.

Gerald worked all of his life as a baker, first with Mrs. Smith's Pies in Pottstown for over 30 years, then with Pepperidge Farms, Inc., Denver, PA, last working in 2005.

Gerald enjoyed Blues music and fishing, as well as summer cookouts at his sister Cathy's. He loved to watch NASCAR races, cheering on Bill Elliott, and the Earnhardt boys: Dale Sr. & Jr. He and Debbie thoroughly enjoyed their 33+ years together.

In addition to his wife, Gerald is survived by his seven brothers and sisters: Robert Reinert, husband of Dot, Pottstown; David Reinert, Pottstown; Gary Moyer, husband of Kathy, Sanatoga; Charlotte Vogenberg, widow of Ed, Lancaster; Mary Rhoads, wife of Jim, Hereford; Cathy Flint, wife of Fred, Birdsboro; and Debbie Rowland, wife of Mike, Pottstown.

He was predeceased by a brother, Jim Moyer.

Services for Gerald will be private at the convenience of his family.
