Gerald Conway "Gerry" Koller, 76, of 50 Glenview Drive, Fleetwood died October 2nd at 12:17 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center Emergency Room.
He was the husband of Emma L. (Smith) Koller.
Born in Blandon, Pa., he was a son of the late Paul and Winona (Wilkinson) Koller.
Koller was a 1944 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.
He was the owner/operator of the 222 Food Market from 1953 till 1996.
Koller was a member of Maidencreek Church, Blandon.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason with the Chandler Lodge #227 F&AM and a charter member of the Blandon Lions Club.
Koller was a minor league baseball player for three years with the Detroit Tigers Farm Clubs in Jamestown, Niagra Falls and Watertown, all in New York.
He is also survived by a son, G. Kyle husband of Judy and a daughter, Patrice K. (Koller) wife of Jeffrey Angstadt all of Kutztown.
Other survivors include a brother, Glenn C. husband of Margaret Koller of Fleetwood and a sister, Gene C. (Koller) wife of Ed Bielecki of Boyertown.
There are also three grandchildren, Jared Angstadt, Eric Angstadt and Lauren Koller.
Services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. in Maidencreek Church, Rt. 73, Blandon, Pa., 19510. Friends may call Monday 9:30 - 11:00 a.m. in the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the church. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
