Gerald Richard Keyek

Gerald R. Keyek, 75, died July 20, 2010 in his Flying Hills residence.

He was the husband of Bernadine J. (Butz) Keyek.

Born in Glen Lyon, Luzerne County, he was the son of the late John and Betty (Zanowicz) Keyek.

He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Camden, NJ.

Gerald was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was employed for 32 years as an engineer by the U.S. Department of Navy servicing the Naval Ship Systems Engineering Station., retiring in 1992.

Gerald was a member of St. John Baptist de La Salle Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Teresa Keyek Fritsche, wife of Gale Fritsche, Allentown and Susan M. Damiano, wife of Michael Damiano, Radnor and four grandchildren, David Fritsche, Jessica Fritsche, Stephen Damiano and Kristin Damiano also survive him.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 11 a.m. in St. John's Baptist de La Salle R. C. Church, 420 Holland St., Shillington, PA 19607.
