Gerald J. Pelker, Sr., 67, of Denver, Lancaster County, died September 29 in Ephrata Community Hospital.
He was the husband of Barbara G. (Fisher) Pelker.
Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Walter J. and Ruth (Heft) Pelker.
He was a machine operator for Luden's, Reading for 43 years, retiring in 2001.
Gerald was a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran.
Other survivors include one son, Gerald J., Jr., Wyomissing and two daughters Cindy L., Denver and Amber L., Ephrata. There are also one brother, Robert, Reading, three sisters, June (Pelker) Van Pelt, West Lawn, Arlene (Pelker) Guti, Reading and Joan (Pelker) Aquila, Shillington. One grandson also survives him.
Services will be Monday, October 10 at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading; friends may call one hour before the service. Inurnment will be in Forest Hills Mausoleum.
