Gerald Hill

Gerald Richard Hill, 79, of Wyomissing Hills, passed away August 4, 2016, at Berks Heim.

He was the husband of Sylvia (Decaminada) Hill. They married on October 19, 1957.

Born in Moundsville, WV, he was a son of the late Friend and Gertrude (Raye) Hill.

He was a graduate of Cadiz High School in Cadiz, OH.

Gerald was a U.S. Navy veteran.

He was employed by Polymer Plastics where he was the first president of Polymer Credit Union.

Gerald is survived by his son, Kent Hill, Spring Township; his brother, Terry Hill, Adena, OH; three grandchildren: Brandi Anastasiadis; Sean Hill; and Jessica Hill. Two great- grandchildren: Sienna Anastasiadis; and Victoria Anastasiadis; and many nieces and nephews also survive him.

He was predeceased by his son, Michael Hill, in 2006; and six siblings: Kenneth Raye; Robert Londress; Betty Guenther; Jack Hill; Dale Hill; and Nancy Spicer

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery.
