Gerald L. Arnold

Gerald L. Arnold, 77 Of Upper Bern Township died in the Reading Hospital October 26, 2013. He was the husband of Margie L. (Serres) Arnold. Gerald was born in Rock Port, Missouri and was the son of the late Lea and Marie Arnold. He was a 1953 graduate of Broch High School in Nebraska. Gerald proudly served his country with 20 years of service in the United States Coast Guard. He then worked for 12 years as a policeman at the University of Oregon from where he retired. Gerald was a member of Frieden's Church, Shartlesville. He was also a Mason and a Shriner. In addition to his wife, he is survived by 2 daughters, Melinda wife of Frederick Antonini, Hamburg and Tami Larosa, Syracuse, NY. 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 12:00 noon from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg, PA. 19526. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 212 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA. 18018, or American Diabetes Association, PO Box 11454, Alexandria, VA. 22313.
