Gerald "Jake" Alfiero

Gerald "Jake" Alfiero, 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Lora (Miller) Alfiero. They shared 61 wonderful years together.Â

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Louis and Genevieve (Grygo) Alfiero. Gerald had a BS in Chemistry from Kutztown University. He built his career in manufacturing with the Clorox Company, living in California, Kentucky, Florida, and New Jersey, and retiring as Director of Manufacturing for Deer Park Water. Gerald was an avid golfer, and played on many challenging courses including his favorites in Scotland, as well as Pebble Beach, CA.Â

In addition to his wife, Lora, those cherishing Gerald's memory are his children: Tara Alfiero, Erik Alfiero and his wife, Grace-Ann; granddaughter, Amelia Alfiero; as well as brother, Kenneth Alfiero and his wife, Joan, and sister-in-law, Josie Alfiero. He is predeceased by his brother, Robert Alfiero.Â

A Catholic Mass and burial will be held Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 10:30AM at the Chapel of St. George Mausoleum at Gethsemane Cemetery, 3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605.Â
