Georgianna M. Goebel

Georgianna M. Goebel, 82, passed away July 11, 2016, in her Flying Hills residence.

Born in Calais, ME, she was the daughter of the late Roscoe C. and Rosanna (Thibedeau) McFadden.

She was the wife of Charles V. Goebel whom she married on February 27, 1960.

Georgianna completed her undergraduate studies at Trinity Washington University then went on to receive her master's degree from Catholic University.

She was employed as a librarian at the Wyomissing Public Library.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children: Anne, wife of H. Mark Bain, Palo Alto, CA; and Charles C., husband of Tracy Goebel, Telford, PA; daughter- in- law, Christina, widow of John A. Goebel, Tiburon, CA; grandchildren: Augustine Beatrice Goebel, Olivia Goebel, and Karla Goebel; step grandchildren: Jody and Brady Kaiser.

Georgianna was predeceased by a son, John A. Goebel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 15, 2016, at 11 a.m. in St. Benedicts Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd, Mohnton, PA 19540. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
