George E. Sholl

George Edward Sholl, 86, of 12 East Front Street, Marietta, Lancaster County died September 13th at 2:35 am in Snyder Memorial Health Care, Marienville, Forest County where she had been for two days.

He was formerly of 1014 Tuckerton Road, Muhlenberg Township and 605 West King Street, York County.

Sholl was the widower of Jean Marie (Stirr) who died August 1991.

Born in Myerstown, Lebanon County, he was a son of the late Paul William and Carrie (Barto) Sholl.

He was a WWII Marine Veteran.

Sholl worked as a truck driver for 35 years at Warner Transportation based out of Omaha, Nebraska before retiring in 1995.

He is survived by three daughters; Debbie (Sholl) Rodgers, Jodie (Sholl) Oulds and Judy (Sholl) Mathis all of Reading, Berks County.

Other survivors include six sons; Michael, Jeffrey and Jamie all of Reading; Paul of Marietta, Lancaster County, George of Columbia, Lancaster County and David of Sarasota, Florida.

There are eighteen grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a son, Patrick E. Sholl.

Prayer services will be Wednesday 10:00 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
