George Jacob Schuler, 82, of Richmond Township, died of natural causes November 8, 2007 at 3:46 pm in the Emergency Room at St. Joseph Medical Center.
He was married June 16, 1956 to the late Olive Hope (Bieber) Schuler, who died June 24, 1997.
Born in Fleetwood on February 20, 1925, he was a son of the late George Wanner Schuler and Cora Mertz (Schaeffer) Schuler.
He was a 1942 graduate of Fleetwood High School.
George was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Kutztown.
He was a life member of the Fleetwood Grange #1839.
George worked his whole life as a dairy farmer on the family farm in Richmond Township.
He is survived by four sons, David W. husband of Eileen L. (Rohrbach) Schuler, James M. Schuler, Samuel G. husband of Karen (Heydt) Schuler and Paul N. Schuler, all of Richmond Township.
Other survivors include a brother, Harold W. husband of June (Zellers) Schuler and two grandchildren, Brent M. Schuler and Melissa A. Schuler, all of Richmond Township.
Services will be Tuesday at 11:00 am in St. John's Lutheran Church, 201 East Main Street, Kutztown, PA 19530, with the Rev. Carl A. Wenzel officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services in the church. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Maxatawny Township. Contributions may be made to the church at the above address. Walter R.
