George T. Schoener

George T. Schoener 65, of 2502 Hampden Boulevard, Muhlenberg Township, was dead on arrival of natural causes June 26 in St. Joseph Medical Center.

He was the husband of Doris (Ash) Schoener. (Married July 6, 1957)

Born in Laureldale, he was a son of the late Fred and Nora (Ludwig) Schoener.

Schoener was employed for 30 years by Carpenter Technology Corp., retiring in 1999.

He served in the Marine Corps Reserves.

Schoener was a 1955 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was a life member of the Goodwill Fire Company, Hyde Park.

Schoener is also survived by two daughters, Karen L.(Schoener) wife of Christopher Shearer, Harrisburg, and Kelly L. (Schoener) wife of Timothy M. Riegel, Temple.

Other survivors include a brother, Jerry Schoener, Temple; and four sisters: Ruth (Schoener) Sallari, Temple; Katherine (Schoener) Becker, Mount Penn; Ann (Schoener) Kazmierczak, in Delaware; and Marjorie (Schoener) Albrecht, Wernersville.

There are also two granddaughters; Linda M. and Amy C. Shearer of Harrisburg.

Services will be Friday at 10 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home Inc., Laureldale. Viewing from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in Zion Lutheran & Reformed Cemetery, Womelsdorf.
