George Schmidt

George Schmidt, 92, formerly of 840 Fuller Street, Darby, Delaware County, died February 25th at 1:12pm in Berks Heim where he had been since August 4, 1997.

He was the widower of Beulah (Heck) Schmidt who died in 1991.

Born in Philadelphia, Pa he was a son of the late Andrew and Rosie (Berandt) Schmidt.

He was employed for 17 years at Drexel University until his retirement in 1976.

Schmidt was also employed for a number of years as a private detective in various capacities.

He was an Ordained Minister and a member of Collingdale Church of the Nazarene, Delaware County.

Schmidt was a Merchant Marine.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Thursday at 9:00 am in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. No public viewing. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
