George S. Drace

George S. Drace, 92, formerly of West Lawn, passed away, January 23, 2015, in Columbia Cottage.

He was the husband of Jeannette M. (Carl) Drace. On January 25, 2015 they would have been married 68 years.

Born in Reading on March 21, 1922, he was the son of the late Frank S. and Florence (Quinter) Drace.

He was a U. S. Army veteran and a Pearl Harbour Survivor.

George was employed by Sears Store, Reading for over 20 years, retiring in 1992.

He was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Wyomissing.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Beverly A., wife of Charles F. Rohrer, Lower Heidelberg Township; his granddaughter, Kimberly A., wife of George H. Mertz, III., Bern Township; four great-grandchildren, Audrey, Rachel, George and Charlie, and his sister, Miriam Haring, Reading.

George was predeceased by his sister, Esther Keller.
