George R. Wessner

George R. Wessner, 86, formerly of Laureldale, died of natural causes February 10th at 11:20 am in Beverly Manor, Exeter Township, where she had been since April 27, 2005.

He was the widower of Anna M. (Lobe) Wessner, who died November 24, 1993.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late James W. and Susan R. (Swartz) Wessner.

He was employed 43 years as a draw bench operator at Carpenter Technology, Reading, retiring in 1983.

Wessner was a member of Westley United Methodist Church.

He was an Army Veteran of WWII.

Wessner is survived by two sons, Dennis G. of Boyertown and Gary L. of Hyde Park.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Irvin Wessner. And a sister, Mary Wessner.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:00 pm in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township. Contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 501 Washington Street, Suite 801, Reading, Pa 19601.
