George H. Noll

George Henry "Butch" Noll, 89, of 7 Irish Mountain Road, Alsace Township, died November 18th at 8:40 p.m. in ManorCare Health Services, Muhlenberg Township where he had been since 9/27/2002.

He was married March 27, 1937 to Hilda Catherine (Delp) Noll.

Born in Reading, Pa., he was a son of the late William W. and Mary (Kaucher) Noll.

He worked as a pre-boarder for a number of years at the former Rosedale Knitting Mills until the plants closing.

Noll last worked as a groundskeeper at Zacharias Machine Works, Reading for a number of years until his retirement in 1976.

He was a life member of the Goodwill Fire Company Beneficial Association, Hyde Park.

Noll is also survived by a son, Gerald W. Noll of Manassas, Virginia.

Other survivors include two sisters, Alice (Noll) widow of Paul Kline of Mount Penn and Josephine (Noll) widow of Arthur Yenser of Fleetwood and two half-sisters; Grace (Noll) Kline of Harrisburg and Jessie (Noll) wife of Vincent Lill of Alsace Manor, Alsace Township.

Noll is also survived by a half-brother, Charles A. Noll of Hyde Crest, Muhlenberg Township.

There are two grandsons, Matthew and Peter Noll and six great grandchildren, Madeleine, Danielle, Rachel, Stella, Samuel and Zachary Noll.

Services will be Friday at 11:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Friends may call Friday 10am until time of service. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Salem-Shalters Lutheran Church 2032 Mount Laurel Road, Fleetwood, Pa 19522.
