George J. Lotter

George J. Lotter, 92, formerly of Fairview Park, Ohio, passed away April 14, 2014 in his residence at Keystone Villa of Douglassville.

He was the husband of the late Ava M. (Brown) Lotter with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage, and son of the late George and Hildegard (Tischler) Lotter.

Born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 29, 1921, he was employed as a sales manager with Sandusky Dressed Beef Co. for 40 years. He was a veteran of WWII, where he proudly served his country as a Navy pilot. He continued recreational flying after the war and added boating and fishing on Lake Erie as favorite pastimes.

He is survived by his daughter, Lynn M. Lotter, Birdsboro, PA, his sister, Marlette Shimko and brother-in-law, Frank Shimko and 12 nieces and nephews.

George gifted his body to medical research and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family would like to especially thank the Keystone Villa caregivers and staff for their unending love and support during his 2 1/2 year stay.
