George A. Lagas

George A. Lagas, 84, of Reading, died of natural causes November 16th in St. Joseph's Medical Center, Reading.

He was the husband of Virginia M. (Young) Lagas.

Born in Castle Hill, NY, He was the son of the late Michael A. and Catherine J. (Frey) Lagas.

Lagas was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II.

He was employed 36 years as a purchasing agent at Pennick and Ford Limited, and 7 years for Hanover Trust Company.

Lagas is also survived by one son, Geoffrey A., of New Fairfield, Ct.

Other survivors include one brother Edward of North Carolina, and one sister Margarite (Lagas) Ryan of Red Bank, NJ.

There are 3 Grandsons and 4 great grandchildren.

There will be a private burial at Laureldale Cemetery. Contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Medical Center, 12th and Walnut Sts. Reading, Pa 19603. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
