George J. Kostick

George J. Kostick, Sr., 84, of Wyomissing, passed away on December 31, 2020, at Reading Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Loretta M. (Anuszewski) Kostick; they were married for over 60 years.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Michael Kostick, Sr. and Rose (Subisak) Kostick.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1955-1958.

George worked for Textile Machine Works and later Arrow International retiring in 2005.

He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

George enjoyed bowling, fishing, shooting, flea markets, bird watching, gardening, and the casinos.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Jeffrey Kostick, Sinking Spring, George Kostick, Jr., Wyomissing, Kristin, wife of Joseph Rogosky, Sinking Spring; Kimberly, wife of Torrance Johnson, Santa Clara, CA; and Rochelle, wife of William Longenecker, Stephens City, VA; grandchildren: Jessica H., Nicole, Rebecca, Billy, Brenna, Patrick, Jessica P., Joshua and Alexander; great-grandchildren: Aryton, Abigail, Isabella and Xavier; and siblings: Anna Skillman, Helen Poper and David Kostick.

He was predeceased by a son, Michael Kostick, and siblings; Mary Sablowski, Florence Hegedus, Michael, John and Daniel.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately with burial to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.
