George Arthur Keller, 74, of 214 South Richmond Street, Fleetwood, died April 17th at 1:25 p.m. in St. Joseph Medical Center, Reading where he had been since April 7th.
He was married 50 years to Shirley Ruth (Noll) Keller, marring March 7, 1953.
Born in Ruscombmanor Township, he was a son of the late Harry J. and Mary B. (Weidner) Keller.
He was a graduate of Reading High School.
Keller was a Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Fleetwood.
Keller was a patrolman 18 years for the Fleetwood Police Department.
He last worked for 38 years at Boyertown Auto Body Works, before retiring in 1991 as supervisor in the shipping and receiving department.
Keller was a member of the Fleetwood American Legion.
He served as a past president of the Fleetwood Community Bus Association.
Keller was on the Board of Directors at Tarsus Corporation, Fleetwood.
He was also a past secretary of the Walnutown Fish and Game Association.
Keller is also survived by a daughter, Carol L. (Keller) wife of John L. Rothermel of Fleetwood and two sons; Carl G. Keller of Fleetwood and Gary L. husband of Lorraine (Sayer) Keller of Kutztown.
There are six grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday 11:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. Viewing 10:00 am until time of service. Rev. Dr. Barbara Kershner Daniel officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Union Cemetery, Fleetwood. Contributions may be made to St. Joseph's Hospital, 13th & Walnut Streets, Reading, Pa 19601 or to American Heart Association, 27 Stevens Avenue, Reading, Pa 19608.
