George Homcha, 73, of Washington Towers, North Fourth Street, a former employee of the Reading Eagle editorial department, died April 10 at 8 p.m. in Reading Hospital, shortly after admission.
His wife, Anne (Feather) Elliot Homcha, died Feb. 12, 1997.
Born in Nesquehoning, Carbon County, he was a son of the late Wash and Esther (Saus) Homcha.
Homcha was employed for 20 years by Reading Eagle Company, retiring in 1985.
He was a member of St. Peter Roman Catholic Church, Reading.
Homcha was a 1947 graduate of Nesquehoning High School.
He is survived by a sister, Helen (Homcha) Hawk, Nesquehoning, and two brothers, John, Wyomissing, and Frank, Nesquehoning.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
