George H. Feltenberger

George H. Feltenberger, 72, died March 8, 2009 at 8:50 p.m. in his Muhlenberg Township residence.

He was the husband of Jacqueline M. (Boyer) Feltenberger, whom he married January 28, 1956.

Born April 10, 1936 in Laureldale, he was a son of the late Theodore and Alberta (Williams) Feltenberger.

George was a 1954 graduate of Muhlenberg High School.

He was employed as a supervisor for Prestolite Batteries for 30 years. He was most recenlty employed in maintenance at The Highlands at Wyomissing, where he retired from in 2004.

George was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Laureldale.

He was a former Assistant Fire Chief for Central Fire Company, Laureldale. He was also a former Ambulance Driver for Muhlenberg Ambulance Association, Muhlenberg Township.

George was an avid golfer.

Also surviving are two daughters, Kim E. Feltenberger, partner of R. Anthony Jenkins of Gouglersville and Jill L., wife of Troy L. Lister of Blandon.

In addition, there are seven siblings, Richard of Laureldale; Earl of Lake Winona, PA; Ronald of Hyde Park; Frederick of Laureldale; Jack of Hyde Park; and Jean Putt and Marveanna Redstone, both of Laureldale.

There are also two grandchildren, Alicia and Lauren Lister, surviving.

George was predeceased by a brother Theodore Feltenberger Jr.

Services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held Friday evening from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Saturday morning from 10:00-10:30 a.m.in the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
