George F. Hinkson

George F. Hinkson, 85, passed away January 23, 2016, in the Reading Hospital.

He was the husband of Margaret L. (Long) Hinkson whom he married on May 3, 1952.

Born in Bridgeport, CT he was a son of the late William G. and Lidia W. (Marsh) Hinkson.

George was part of the United States Army 101st Airborne.

He was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.

George was employed as a manager in the shipping and receiving industries.

In addition to his wife, George is survived by his children: James W., husband of Sheila Hinkson, Middletown; and Kenneth V., husband of AnnMarie Hinkson, West Reading; a sister, Edith Day; grandchildren, Timothy Hinkson, Matthew Christman, and Brian Christman; great grandchildren, Violet Hinkson, Bella Christman, Nate Christman, Alex Christman, Ben Christman and Jase Christman; and a niece, Karen Drouin.

George was predeceased by his brothers: William Hinkson and John Hinkson.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, January 29, 2016, at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading, PA 19611. Entombment will follow in Gethsemane Mausoleum. A viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m. in the church. In lieu of flowers contribution may be made to the Sacred Heart Memorial Fund, P.O.
