George Dunda

George Dunda, 77, of Mohnton, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 14, 2026.

He was born in Rahway, NJ, to the late George Dunda and Veronica (Gregory) Whitlock. He served in the Naval Reserves. He was a dedicated employee of Johnson & Johnson's Ortho Diagnostics for over 20 years.

George valued his family above all else. He was a wonderful son to his mother Veronica, whom he never stopped sharing his life with and cared for until her passing 5 years ago.

His dedication as a father was unparalleled. His children were his life and his presence in their lives never diminished even into adulthood. His immense devotion to their wellbeing was no less than the day they were born. He maintained long-lasting friendships and will be remembered for his humor, fairness and loyalty. Put simply, George was a great man and the phrased uttered most about him since his passing is, "He was the best."

George will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him, especially his three children whom he loved so much.

Left to treasure George's memory are his children: George G. Dunda, husband of Miranda, of Wyomissing; James J. Dunda, husband of Corinne, of Wyomissing; and Holly Dunda of Wyomissing; his former wife and friend Karen Hillard; grandchildren: Jesse, Morgan, George, Josslyn, and Adria; and siblings: Gregory Dunda, husband of Alexandra; Keith Whitlock, widower of Eileen; Lisa Stanley, wife of Ken; and Joanne Grecco, wife of Tony.

A Celebration of Life for George will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 12 noon at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading PA 19611. Friends and family are welcome to visit at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
