George D. Mullarkey

George D. Mullarkey, 82, died October 4, 2011 in ManorCare, Laureldale.

His wife, Edna I. Mullarkey, died May 23, 1996.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Dennis A. and Violet (Hall) Mullarkey.

He worked for Berks Packing and later for the City of Reading in the tax office for a number of years.

George was a US Navy veteran of WWII.

Survivors include three children, George M., Ormond Beach, FL, David, TX and Lori D. Grim, Reading. There is one sister, Mary Chrieleison, Florida. Eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive him.

Granddaughter Kristin Ortiz and her sons Benjamin and Edwin want to thank ManorCare, Laureldale for the loving care they showed their grandfather.

Services will be Friday at 12 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
