George Cheri

George Cheri, 72, formerly of Reading, died March 19, 2012, in St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Henderson, NV.

He was the husband of Sharon (Brown) Cheri.

Born in West Reading, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (Hatzas) Cheri.

He was employed as a plumber for the Union #690, Philadelphia, retiring in 1995.

George was a member of Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church.

He was past President of Daniel Boone Optimist Club and volunteered for Nevada- Southern Railway- Engineer, Boulder City, NV.

He is survived by his sister, Marian Cheri, Reading.

George was predeceased by his brother, Lewis Cheri.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Sts. Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, 1001 East Wyomissing Blvd Reading, PA 19611. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 11 a.m. in the church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
